Giving
notice
The residential tenancy agreement
can be terminated by the tenant in two ways:
1. If intending to vacate the property at the end of the fixed term,
then 14 days written notice prior to the expiry of the lease agreement
must be given.
2. If intending to vacate the property while on a continuing lease
agreement (ie. the fixed term has expired), then 21 days written
notice must be given.
Please note that each tenant on the lease agreement must sign the
vacating notice. If posting the notice, 4 clear days for postage
must be allowed. If it is needed to vacate the property prior to
the lease expiry, please contact your Property Manager immediately
to discuss.
Return of keys
All keys must be returned to Exclusively Rentals on the vacating day, before the close
of business. Keys must not be left in the property, as the tenant
will remain responsible for the property until keys are handed to
a staff member. Any lost keys are to be replaced at the tenant's
own expense. Failure to return keys on the vacating day could result
in rent continuing to be charged.
Final inspection
The final inspection will be carried
out as soon as possible after vacating the property. It is strongly
recommended that the tenant makes a time with the Property Manager
to attend the final inspection together.
Release of Bond
Once all keys are returned to Exclusively Rentals, all rent and any other outstanding expenses
are paid, and the final inspection has been completed and approved,
the bond may be released.
References
References are only provided to tenants
who have remained in advance with their rental payments and have
kept the property in good condition. A written reference can be provided
once the final inspection has been carried out and approved. |
